A YEAR IN THE INNER CIRCLE

My work with Kim has been transformative.

Over this past year, I have embarked on a yoga/wellness journey that began at a January women’s yoga retreat led by Kim. I set out to improve my health, and to lead a more aligned lifestyle. I left the retreat feeling refreshed, renewed and hopeful. I continued my inner work with the support of Kim and the Inner Circle, as well as through periodic coaching calls.

After 11 months of working with Kim, I have gained so much. I have gained support from the amazing women in the Inner Circle. I have gained perspective into the way my thoughts influence the way I show up in the world. I have gained insight into why healthy habits such as morning/evening routines, sleep and the way I approach food, matters. It isn’t about the weight, but the weight is measurable and indisputable. I have lost 20+ lbs slowly and steadily over 11 months. I attribute this to shifting my mindset towards what my body needs to feel healthy, and in developing a ‘flexible’ but consistent yoga practice.

In reflecting on this inner work, I am most proud of the softness from which I view things, the resilience I feel, and the sisterhood I have experienced in walking alongside other women through their celebrations and struggles. Kim is truly a gift.

The Inner Circle Membership Program for Women

Ten years ago, Kim created her Inner Circle coaching group to teach women how to build lifelong habits based on the yogic tradition, heavily influenced by her knowledge and experience with Ayurveda, yoga’s sister science. Over the years, Kim refined the program to include a monthly “healthy habit” (e.g., journaling, meditation, healthy eating, morning and nighttime routines, etc.) that her clients could put into practice immediately, at any depth to suit their life at the moment. Many Inner Circle members continued year-to-year, deepening their knowledge and practice in any one area, each month.

The IC is networking.

The IC is companionship.

The IC is guidance.

The IC is mentorship.

The IC is a hygge.

What is a Hygge?

Well, a friendship is where we get together and shoot from the hip the ins and outs of our lives. The IC is a premeditated, consistent 1 hour a week set aside to self reflect and check in, among others doing the same. We learn to ask for what we need. We learn to listen.

It is a place of seeing, self reflecting, how you are showing up in life and then recalculating if need be one hour a week. The IC is a buffer, a curb on the road. We keep each other sharp and shiny!

  • We study these 10 principles to live our most ethical life.

  • We listen, advise, give feedback and support to one another.

  • We spend one hour a week to self reflect in body, mind and actions.
